Fifth Street East of Macomb

A note about photographs:  Nearly all are taken with digital cameras.  Every attempt is made to choose times when the light is best for the home being photographed.  Some post processing is used if needed to enhance color balance and contrast.  Nearly all images are in the JPEG format and fairly high compression is used to reduce loading time, especially for users with dial up connections.  The larger images are for close examination.  If you have a need for the image as taken for printing, contact the web keeper.  These requests are normally nonored without charge.

303 East Fifth street is on the North East corner of the intersection of Fifth and Macomb streets.  The owners of this home take obvious pride in both restoration and maintenance of this fine two story home.

On the South east Corner of the intersection is 304 East Fifth Street.  To be sure, a Victorian home like this is of great beauty and does require some loving maintenance.  Note the scaffolding better seen in the larger image.

As you walk East, the next home is a three story brick home having a mansard roof and decrative wrought iron work on the roof.  This home at 309 East Fifth Street is another example of civic pride in action.
